Galway Clinic Update

Galway Clinic Update

At our ReproMed Galway Clinic, our team continues to grow and evolve as we strive to offer a broadening variety of fertility services to as much of Ireland as we can.   Each member of our team plays a role in providing a supportive and comprehensive service to our patients who are at the centre of everything we do.

We want to ensure that we’re striving to be the best fertility provider in the country for our patients and also for standards in the industry as a whole and with that in mind, we would like to introduce our two new Consultants who will oversee all our patients based in the West of Ireland.

Dr Ehab Abu Marar Consultant Fertility Specialist

Dr. Marar graduated from GR. T. POPA University in Iasi, Romania and after an internship at Jordan University Hospital he became Board Certified in 2005. He got Arab Board Certificate during his work as a senior specialist in the International Medical Centre which is considered one of the most prestigious hospitals in the Middle East and has a partnership with The Cleveland Clinic.

He moved to Germany to attend a fellowship programme of IVF under the supervision of the well-known Professor Klaus Diedrich in Lübeck and after a time as a Clinical Fellow in CRG in Brussels, he went back to Germany to work as a lecturer in the School of Medicine at the University of Lübeck.

Dr. Marar ran his private clinic in Jordan, performing all procedures related to Ob/Gyn, specifically IVF and minimally invasive surgeries, while at the same time he also worked as an Assistant Professor at Yarmouk University, Faculty of Medicine in Jordan. Patient rights, quality assurance, medical guidelines, involvement in IVF medical research projects and up to date procedures are Dr. Marar’s priorities.

Dr Ernesto Vázquez Hidalgo Consultant Fertility Specialist

Dr Ernesto Vázquez Hidalgo is a senior consultant within our Galway team.  Originally from Venezuela, Dr Ernesto has 18 years working in women’s health and 13 years in reproductive medicine and minimally invasive gynaecological surgery.  In 2006 he enrolled in the Advanced Endoscopic Gynaecologic Surgery Master’s Degree Programme offered by the prestigious IVI (Instituto Valenciano de Infertilidad) and University of Valencia in Spain, focusing his interest mainly in Reproductive Surgery.  Dr Ernesto was Head of the Endoscopic Surgery Department and Consultant in the Department of Reproductive Medicine in the Venezuelan Institute of Fertility and later returned to Spain where he served as a Senior Consultant in two fast growing Fertility Clinics in Catalonia.

We have treated, educated and supported thousands of patients and most importantly we’ve helped many of them to overcome fertility issues and have children, which is the ultimate goal for us. If you would like a consultation, follow the Make an Appointment click through button on the website and you can book in with a member of the team
